Ok, so your first assignment is actually really really easy. Something really important to know is how to start out with a rough 'skeleton' when you're doing human anatomy. We're going to start out really small. I want you to draw ten head/neck/shoulder skeletons. This doesn't have to be anything fancy at all. As you can see by my example, it can be quite 'sketchy'. So here's what you do!
1. Using a magazine/pictures from the internet/live models as reference, draw ten very very basic head/neck/shoulder skeletons. 2. Don't go past the shoulders. This is just an exercise on how the head/neck/shoulders interact with each other. 3. Try to find a variety of poses/angles to work with. 4. I'd really like this done using pencil and paper, rather than digitally. Even if you have to take a picture of your drawing and upload it that way. Just please please PLEASE don't use a mouse and ms paint for this. Pencil is so much better. I just used my tablet for the demo. I'll be using traditional media for the actual assignment! 5. I only drew the skeleton directly on top of the pictures to demonstrate what we're doing. For the actual assignment, just use the picture as reference. 6. Remember, there are lots of different styles and ways people draw basic skeletons. The way shown above is just how I personally do it. Just find whatever works for you and run with it!
Ok, have fun! If you have any more questions, just comment here or in the assignment journal!!
